Got a week left before turning it in. Almost there and the more critique the better! Heres my thread. All this Marmoset 2 stuff is making me think of really getting the cart looking tight and putting it in.
Started a Flesh Golem minion for Frank-- got inspired today by Josh Singh today after watching his Zbrush talk.. still a ways to go on the sculpt, but he's almost there
This is awesome! What is that rendered in? Also depending on the resolution those lines at the top might just turn out a mess!
You're right about those lines, we'll see what happens when I try to bake. The render method is done right inside max with default scan line and some simple mats. one skylight, one omni and some work in photoshop.
Hey guys, nice models and renders! So, im trying to get in marmoset 2 and sorry for offtopic, but i have a question. How to make an transparent material, glass for example?

Not sure if it is what you are looking for, but if you put transparacy to add, it will become "glass"
Haven't made alot of progress, kinda just been playing around in MT2 :P
just polypainting by hand and sculpting a fire hydrant, the base mesh is the first thing I have made in maya, just trying to make the switch from 3ds max
I got the door outline, although it's a little bare. I'll probably add some more details on later. Next time I post it'll probably be that along with the actual door being done
Spent most of this week trying to get the right feel for old bricks. It's been tough but I finally feel like I'm on the right track. It's mostly just fairly base colours at the moment, still got to really fine tune the material.
doing a diffuse polypaint pass. jealous of how clean some of the models' geo in this thread look.
I have qualms with ZBrush's texturing tools. they're OK. Need to try out mudbox.

Playing with M2 and PBR. Marmoset needs to implement a custom background importer, ha ha.
there is... select the sky, then click "image" and load in any HDRI image. http://www.hdrlabs.com/sibl/archive.html has quite a few.

love the characters on your page as well. I like the approach you're taking to hands and especially fingers:)

Textures are 2k x 2k, tri count ~ 1800. Texture work is still in progress so any crits are welcome
I have no idea why this isn't previewing, but hey here's a personal project I'm working on with Judd simantov to make an Orc!
Please keep in mind that my website is still under construction.

Skin test on my robin hood dude.
lol i love that face!
the legs look too small even for super deformed. if the arms go down he will have to stand on his hands instead of his feet.

not intended for me, but thank you for spelling it out so plainly... didn't realize it was that simple!!
That is quite simply the most amazingly beautiful woman/girl I have ever seen! Who did you base her on?
TehSplatt: Love the style on that character
