Not ready yet, still will work on proportion adjusts, color correction on clothes, eye and skin specular/reflection adjust, and some fur rendering problem (that I dont have a clue how to make it work.....)
the fur will read much better if you shift the fur shells a bit.
You people never rest . So much awesomeness in this forum ! @Soldeus : I hope to see more soon ! It looks great.
Here is a new thing i did during lunch time. I wanted to push further a litle tank i did on a previous concept art. I really had fun doing this ! Hope you like it.
Sifting through this pimping and previews thread is always inspiring!
Not personal work, but a good bit of our team worked hard on getting our trailer done for Gamescom. For about a year and 1/2 we've been working on our updated engine (pbl, hdr, massively overhauled fx system) Here is the trailer we launched.
Envelope, I am a HUGE fan of Infamous 1&2. Even with all the praise it got, I genuinely think they're really unrated games, I don't know any other game that lets me do the cool kind of shit I'm able to do on that franchise, so kudos to all the team and I'm soooo looking forward to Second sun!
Game is looking amazing, the particles and materials in specific are to die for! Great stuff!
Thanks for the tip LRoy. I was acctualy trying to use the fin & shells technique, but i acctually didn't put the fins yet. But i agree with you, the fur the way it is now its a bit too orderly.
Some friends suggest to try the traditional plane workflow so i will try it and see i a get a better result!
Hello people, this forum is so amazing im happy to be part of it, im new and have only one project using Maya 3D and its embaraced post here with so good works

I second this, Envelope You guys are soooooo gonna rock PS4!
Sculpting in the hangouts is great because I can ask how to do something and I get immediate feedback, and what I learn sticks since I can apply it immediately.
Modeling this lovely lady, with some changes. Wish me luck!
Experimenting with using a Kinect to do 3D scanning. Very pleased with the results so far.
Wow that turned out great for a kinect. I've been doing scan-data cleanup for a small 3d scanning studio, and even with a whole multi-camera setup this is fairly close in quality to what they are getting. Now I wonder if they are using misconfigured equipment or some such. I suppose I shouldn't complain if it means they need me.
Great stuff here as usual! Tadpole3159, your frog is adorable, aww.
I decided to download Keyshot and play around with it. Need to figure out how to finesse the lighting further but the learning curve is real nice Here is a render of my character before his retop. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=124340
Saw a thread where someone was modeling a shield based on some concept art of shields. Thought these might make some good lunch time sculpts in zbrush. Here is the first.
Swizzle, did you try to experiment with photogrammetry ? It's heavily dependent of photo quality but the results could be very impressive.
Agisoft Photoscan is pretty good and not too expensive.
update on the dungeon. Mostly just addition of post process and some other rubble assets that aren't seen in this shot. Next update will probably be in a thread. Keep up the great work everyone!

I spend a lot of effort to always make my uv's phallic by nature. Drawing penises never gets old.
Really nice work, fightpunch!
Serious though, nice work, Mat. No crit. for now, just the stuff we talked about in the hangouts. Keep it up, mate!
Sick stuff! digging the proportions
@Mathew O
Bad ass!
Here is a Paint over WIP i am currently doing. The "grunt" will be a statue at some point... but for now, he will do
time well spent, my friend

Hey, I'm learning equine anatomy too. I'm using this book for the insertions and origins: [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Animal-Anatomy-Artists-Elements-Form/dp/0195142144/"]Animal Anatomy for Artists: The Elements of Form: Amazon.co.uk: Eliot Goldfinger: Books[/ame]
From your sculpt it looks like you need to take them into consideration more. But yeah, thats where to get that info.
I did a quick study today to practice what I've learnt from my ecorche so far and to identify what I haven't learnt (of the front bit):
Love this, really cool style
awesome and thanks for the kind words :poly142:

I tried my hand at some random light placing and Maya rendering:
Agisoft Photoscan is pretty good and not too expensive.
Did this today, will try and finish it over the weekend. It's based on the awesome Elysium mechs.
Sorry for spamming big pics! :x
Some new character work based on Trevor Claxton's Baby Cakes concept.
Concept can be seen here - http://trevor.cghub.com/
