Long time no post! It's nice to see a lot of stunning works here! Here's something news from me. Think I will refine it more and try to use VRay more in my workflow, C&C are highly welcome!: X
Learning how to high poly model, practicing modelling techy random stuff from reference. Learned a lot on this first thing, made a lot of mistakes, but ultimately wanted to finish it and move on, correcting them in the next study. Few of the things I'm going to work on learned on this:
- Cleaner base geometry, more even distribution of faces
- being more accurate to ref/concept, more training of eye
- faster workflow, prototype more & quicker, refine later
- pay attention when collapsing mah fuckin stacks!

Sweet work as always all around! Looks awesome LOad!
An update on my arena environment. Been adding some more props to fill out the scene and trying to give it some more life. Would love to know what you guys think.
Throwing this in here purely because I like the edited effect. Its not much for modelling awesomeness like the work in here, but I think it works nicely as a "puurrrtty" picture .
Im a newb to all this modelling lark but heres the beginnings of a small scene im working on which pretty much involves an axe stuck in a tree (itll hpefully be more interesting than that)
Super quick update - basic paintover for the axe, will work into this; this is literally just a CB generated diffuse

EDIT: I created a thread here, where I will keep track of every week's pinup sculpt for the year.
bit more Bizzaro:
No textures yet; this is just a basic low poly.
Peppi recently posted these great tablet doodles (link) and I couldn't resist doing a speed sculpt of the Elephant Cyclops. Such a fun character!
I'm going to polypaint it next.
