also, fixed proportions and most of the sharp edges..
Aimpoint scope mount will be replaced, rear sight might be replaced too maybe to the troy battle sights,
the whole front will be gone too

One last comment, and well this is really personal taste. I think your site will look better without those grungy fonts/splashy blood stains, I dont know theres something doesnt feel right but maybe its the washed out background. I think you have some of the coolest work I ve seen in your folio, but I also think you could change/tweak somethings to make it nicer. Hope this helps.

I have to agree here, IMO your site is quite busy and actually detracts from the high quality of your art content. Right now 80% of your website is flashy fonts, logos, decals and a huge render, then you have these fairly small thumbnails of your actual work(I realize the render is your actual work too, but still).
I personally would go for a more simplistic approach, to highlight your art content as apposed to your graphic design/website skills. The first impression certainly isn't as strong as it should be considering the quality of the assets you're showing off.
There is also the technical issue of your website simply not fitting in the window at lower than 1920x1200 either, not everyone has a 24" display, on my 2nd monitor(1680x1050) I get vertical and horizontal scollbars. It doesn't need to fit on a 800x600 res, but it should work with a 20" monitor an minimum.
there is something about grungy fonts that looks too "common" not classy. Its like an easy way to "achieve" a grungy feeling, but ends up feeling cheap somehow. I think there is other ways to convey the grungy look, being a lot more subtle.
This is a cool portfolio imo, I post it here more in terms of graphic design, its sober, still has some very subtle grungy feeling on it. Maybe it can give you some ideas.
IMO that site is pretty busy/over-designed too. Actually if you go to the actual portfolio section of his site, its very clean and to the point: http://andreewallin.com/portfolio
But the main page with the fading images and all that... I would skip any of that stuff. Get right to the work!

Also I agree about the website. It should fit in 1024x768, The text should be cleaner, and the background grunge needs to go altogether.
def will be more clean, i just sent some links/resume to some studios and i had to update it very quick since im looking for work at the moment so its kinda rushed

Here are some suggestions:
A. Smaller logo/links
B. Get rid of large blood splat at bottom, just takes away too much space for displaying art, resume link should be on the standard link bar, no need for links in random places
C. Much bigger thumnails, Art Art Art!! Gotta make your art the focus of the site
D. Smaller M4 render, but longer, give it space for vertical scrolling(if needed)
[edit] Also, you should fix that sub-d error on the stock if thats going to be how the gun is rendered, that shape should be planner no? Where the stock connects to the gun, the messy convex shape there.
those parts seams noisy, but ill prob lose it anyway on the bake later on

bottom edge maybe be too sharp, might make it softer
However I'd like to continue the website crit and suggest something even more simple.
The grungy font makes it hard to read, and the drop shadow steals focus from the work.
