You should tell her to check out Makani's work. It's available on DeviantArt and various other places online. It's also what actually got this project started.

Sparkwire currently has the engie, soldier, heavy and scout models I made. I'm planning on getting started on the others sometime in May, but I have a lot of school and work to take care of in the meantime. I simply don't have much time for personal projects right now.
Once I have all the models finished, I'll release them as a pack for anybody to use.

You should take a look at the actual TF2 textures. There are a lot more things going on than you might think when just looking at the textured models. For example, they have ambient occlusion and normal maps baked from high-poly models, a lot of noise, various color gradients and fine painted details that aren't immediately obvious. The face textures seem to be 100% hand painted and have a bit of noise in them to keep them from seeming monochromatic.
Wouldn't expect it nearly a year after the main topic was active. Swizzle did a few awesomeboss characters, got bored with the 1850's characters, and moved on to other things.
ok so i did not read everyone for this topic but is there all 9 done if so where can one get them i can rig them so i'm thinking they would make a good mod for tf2.
