I'm not talking about the straight up boolean functions, as they all cause chunks to get cut out of the geometry or modify the shape of the objects. all I want are edges cut into the geometry wherever the two objects intersect am I missing a tool or is there some script I can use?
Hi I am looking for some switch which allow sculpting on all visible sub-objects, like it happens in zbrush. Already I must sculpt every sub-object separately. For example I have a slice of metal and rivets on it. When I'm bending this metal, rivets stay immovably.
How do place a parameter in the modifier tab where I can select objects and use them as a surface/ground in 3ds Max? I'm guessing I have to use MaxScript, but I didn't learn as yet. I want to it to look same as an attribute holder with parameters. Thanks!
Hey I have a few hundred objects in my scene, and i want to find out what the highest UV Channel number there is in a selection of objects. I know you can look in channel info, but when you have a lot of objects, it gets messy to find it. Cheers Cody
I hate to convert to editable poly every time I create an object. Is there a way to create editable polys upon object creation? (Just like you can disable backface cull upon object creation)? and a few noob questions hehe: 1)what is a null? 2)what is a normal? (as in edit normals)
I cant find any information about this. I need to export an object with 2-3 animations, and they have to be separated and not in one timeline. It is for a Unity game. I know you can export an object with all animations, and cut them in Unity. But I need them separated from the start.
Hi guys, As the title say`s, is there a script or a method to be able to select which objects from the FBX file to be imported?Like when you have a .max file and select merge and it gives you the option to select what objects you want to be imported. Thanks
Does anyone know where to find an instance replace script that also replaces groups? Most replace script that I know will only replace objects but not whole groups. - Replace multiple Objects by a Group (instanced) - Replace multiple Groups by a Group (instanced) - Replace multiple Groups by an object (instanced)
I was wondering if DDO will support multiple UVs at one point? For now, I separate my objects by tiles, so end up with multiple objects with different textures, instead of just one object and DDO spreading the materials and textures to all my tiles. Is this something we can realisticly expect one day?
As part of a college brief I was given the task to create 4 objects: - a melee weapon - a long range weapon - an item of clothing - an object from home. Concepts. Melee Weapon: Sword. Long Range Weapon: Bow. Item of Clothing: Pin Up Doll Dress. Item From Home: Water Feature.
