Fendt - MT900 Tractor . Links: https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/vehicle/vehicle-part/mt900-tractor https://www.markos3d.com The high-detail exterior is great for close-up renders, the model was created in 3d's Max 2011 environment, using the open subdivision modifier which has been left in the stack to adjust the level…
Here is the same model exported as fbx and obj. FBX is 844kb, OBJ is 22.4kb. For a static prop like this there is no benefit so I would usually use an obj. But once we build the unity project, do the models remain in that format, taking up the same amount space? If I was only using fbx's for everything, woudl I be wasting…
Hello, Recently I faced a challenge of modelling a building which has both the exterior and interior walls (as in, you can walk in and around it). I have come up with a way of doing this but it seems terribly inefficient. For one, it's pretty hard to navigate the interior, so I had to split the model into two meshes…

I've had a look around the forums and thought I'd ask this. What do you do, if you aren't very good at making your own concepts but you find yourself competent at modelling? I tried starting an environment today, and found myself stopping every so often because i had nothing to reference properly. I could easily look at…

So a few friends of mine and myself are going to be working on our final project this coming school year. We've started hashing out bits of story and stuff like that and getting a feel for what we want. We'll be posting lots of stuff for it once things get going but at the moment we're starting on the basics, which is to…
