If I am reading correctly, I ran into a similar issue. When creating a plane, uncheck 'Real-World Map Size' under the Parameters section of the Create tab (should be under where you clicked to create the Plane)
When creating insert brushes you need to make sure that the canvas is aligned orthoganally as this is how the mesh will be created on the surface normal, perpendicular. As a rule I will create brushes with Z positive forward and X positive screen right.
Okay so how do you go around doing that because i have found it easier to make a lowpoly take it into zBrush and create bumps and scratches and so on in there. 9/21/23 First project of the year- a diorama!! This display of fancy goods was based off an illustration by Grace Popp. Models were created entirely in Maya, and textures are created from stock images or UE5 materials. Orange slice textures are from TextureCan. Rendered in UE5.
