Okay, I have started on my first, from scratch head sculpt today. Thought i had a good low poly mesh done and ready for z-brush sculpting, and then I found this It just gets worse as I divide and won't stay pushed in. Any tips or suggestions on how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated. This is my first head…
Hey guys long time polycount viewer first time poster. I really admire the quality of work and constructive feedback/support on these forums. I've been tryin to learn zbrush so I made this concept of a cowboy barber to sculpt. My aims are to create a high quality concept/illustration and a high rez model using a sculpting…
This here's my first "serious" Mudbox sculpt that I've done (I've tried a simple head before this) and while I'm fairly happy with the result, I've run into a few problems. I could use some help! First is the legs, and the leg pose, something just seems kinda off about them? I can't quite put my finger on it. Then there's…

My goal : Hand painted models/scene/texture What i want to achieve is something like this (awesome stuff from FAF) : My current workflow :1.…

Usually I go with 3dsMax to make hard surfaces, but it doesn't seem feasible for this cartoony/damaged/weary metal cauldron I'm…
Hello and good day to you. I'm looking for a general advice that would help me to improve my sculpting skills and make them work in tandem with drawing sills. (neither of those are too good by the way) Examples: Quick test: Original sketch: Hair is "sketched" with planes, face is sculpted using dyntopo. Using reference:…
Hey, if you don't mind me asking, what program are you using for sculpting, and do you have access to Photoshop or something similiar (Krita, Gimp, etc)? I ask because I know that Zbrush has a feature where you can make the whole program transparent so that you can sort of "trace" over the thing you're trying to sculpt.…
For just coming to grips with mudbox and sculpting I'd say you did a great job. The main thing that I would look to improve on your next sculpts is nailing your base forms first before detailing. Try to think about sculpting from the inside then out. Focus on the shape of the skull as it should define most of your head.…
