wrap a script around the export process, something like scaling it up by 100x before exporting and then export using the FBX plugin and its current settings. After that scale it back to what it was before.
Also, when I'm looking for tips to render and export as an image, I find that they export it through documents -> export. The resolution however is always set to 72 dpi, is there a way to change this to a higher resolution?
Yes, export your texture using the mesh maps export preset, that will export your bakes. You can then import back the fixed bakes and replace them in the Texture Set settings window.
Strange... i never had to collapse my stack to export the high poly. Are you exporting it as .obj or .fbx? I'm sure that the FBX exporter tessellates the model when there is a turbosmooth modifier on top.
I think this might be a bug in FBX export in 3dsmax 2015, prior to export, you should convert your mesh to editable mesh, then back to editable poly. If you export it then it should be ok.
Exporting seems broken on my end to in Substance Designer 5. Sometimes it would take 5 minutes to export, sometimes it would never export. It was random. Changing file types didn't help.
Exporter still not working, no errors no nothing. The Exporter window pops up I can set the file path and adjust everything else but when I hit the export button nothing happens.
