The good folks at Wired sat down with Tim Sweeney and Cliffy B. to discuss the upcoming Unreal 4 engine. It's not a gritty technology details focused article, it is on Wired after all, but it does have a nice gallery of screen shots and a lot of general talk about what they are doing and hoping for with their latest…
Hey what's up guys.. So.. I've been messing with Unreal Engine 4 and the free assets from the market place the past 2 days.. Its quiet unreal what this engine can achieve.. Here is what I've been messing with
The title seems to be plain gibberish, but I don't really know how else to describe it :/ Anyhow, I've always had this thing for 4-legged mechas, and being inspired by several RTS-games I wanted to give a try and make my own... In low poly, of course. I had an idea of 4-legged mecha that would be bit of a mix of something…
This thread is my Off shoot from the Custom Quake 4 Models thread. I felt that I was somewhat HIjacking the thread, so I simply created this thread. The basic Premise, is a friend and I are in the same animation class and both want to get into the Game Industry. We both are a little behind with our portfolios, so to help…

Hi  I need to bake a Normal Map, but the model is a wood material, so I can't use smoothing groups, because i don't want to split the UV. But i'm getting some bad results baking the Normal Map. Object Space Normal Map looks better than the Tangent Space Normal Map, so I have two questions: -It is possible to…

Yah, I'm mostly a texture artist and have little 3D knowledge. I can't find, for the life of me, if its possible to turn a Max model that has 3 sided polygons into 4 sided polys to be imported into Zbrush?
I recently found a tutorial for making a turntable in UDK, but things are different in Unreal 4. I have the meshes, but setting keyframes and rotating the objects does not animate them. I need to make a turntable tonight. Does anyone know how to? How do you do it? thx.
