Hello everyone, I am working on a character, so I thought I might create the topic for sharing some stuff and getting crit/ideas/fixes along the way. Main concept(by Eryc TSang): https://www.artstation.com/artwork/2nn2y I am doing a realistic version, but that concept serves as an overall idea about clothing. Check out the…
Thank you very much for the feedback and for sharing these resources, it really helped. The notes about anatomy and lighting were especially useful, and I’ll keep them in mind moving forward. This piece is still part of my learning process, so comments like this make a big difference. Thanks again for your time and help!
hi, a simple demonstration highlighting the difference in merging animation layers between Maya and Blender. using the same rig (beta character from agora), in both maya and blender. same rig (almost) same computer, only difference is maya and blender. https://youtu.be/57QhSToYH98?si=KOMJGwMrOo7mfbri
I have decided to base my character off of a cute fairy type! One downside is that i haven't been able to get hold of a suitable rig for it! This means that i will be adapting an existing rig. I will be using the body mechanics rig Jill and will be giving her my own set of wings that im currently making out of a plane.

Now then, I can model the frame of the wings but the actual skin part in between is where I am stuck at. Should I use a separate flat plane to model the wings on? Or should it be a an actual piece of geometry that has depth…

I believe I narrowed it down and the issue may be pretty simple: basically if i key frame too many corrective blendshapes it really starts to bog down. I think I am just asking too much from my…

Hello. Been a very long time since I've posted here. Work, uni (and life...) left me with zero time to do any 3D art. This is a small project just to prove to myself I can still finish something! This is a vase by Tiffany Furnaces i saw (and was infatuated with) in the NY Met. during a trip I took earlier this year. Above…
