light map headache
I'm re-exporting my meshes for uneal. I now have two sets of uv's. One is the lightmap I set up in Maya. I import the mesh back into unreal. I check off the generate lightmaps. When I open my mesh up in the ue4 mesh editor and look at uv's, no matter what index I set the lightmap to it is the same layout. It's not my… -

2d shadow/lighting tile help.

Normal Mapping / Lighting Question
Hi, I have a question regarding a model I recently normal mapped. The bake turned out great but after I ran a test render in 3d Max I noticed certain area refuse to lighten up... I tried to add lighting sources but they have no effect. Can anyone help me with this??? I can't find any tutorials that explain what the problem… -
2 sided plane lighting problem
The back face of my grass foliage planes are really dark. How can I fix this? I know how to solve it in the previous Unreal Engine, but I just can't figure it out in UE4. Custom lighting isn't really available now is it because of PBR? :/ Thank you! -
[WIP] SE-14r light blaster
Been starting on star wars sort of project. The first piece for it was the standard issue sidearm for all stormtroopers, the SE-14r blaster! I'm working off some light references from the movies and a guy who made it in real life. I have the lower part of the gun modeled for now. -
Foliage Lighting like a Nut Sack.
Anybody know what this is about? It looked fine when I placed it but after building lighting on Preview quality (For 40 dang minutes!) it came out like this. EDIT: I think it might be because the origin is below the terrain? Is there any way to fix that other than having the grass floating? -
