Transparent materials in Blender Cycles?
Just a shot in the dark here, anyone know how to make good transparent materials in Blender's Cycles? I want it to be pretty much totally invisible aside from the specular highlights. max 2010 material editor bug
is it a bug? drag and drop a directx material to a new slot, the shader goes over but all the textures do not! damn it all! maybe this is not crucial, but a tad annoying as i keep habitually doing it! anyone else notice this or have a workaround? -

Question about creating a new material.
Whenever I create a new material, the final node has some stuff with white text while the other stuff is grayed out. How do I activate the grayed out options? See what I mean.... -
texture paths in material editor help?
Is there a way i could set up my materials so that i can pack up my project folder, take it anywhere on any other computer, and open it and the textures would be located properly, even if the root directory is different or the drive initial is different? -
