Hello, I have created a metal tilling texture in Mixer. In SP I have created anotherbaked metal texture map. Is it possible to refine the metal look so the two texture match better?I'm now getting two different metal textures/pieces in my unreal scene. Hope it makes sence.Or would you need to tweak the Roughness settings…
I have baked maps in SP for awhile now and have had no issues. If I do, it's because I didn't set the proper smoothing groups to match the UV islands. Or mismatching mesh names or material IDs. On this particular mesh, the rings beveled edge on the exterior of the frame bake as they should but the interior creates a…
Hi everyone! So, i want to work in the game industry as a game environment artist. Modelling in maya, texturing and baking in SD/SP. BUT UV-mapping! I like UV-mapping in Blender way more than in Maya, but Blender not a standard software of industry. Is this metter, if i want to use Blender only for UV mupping? Or i have to…
http://www.game-warden.com/bsg/downloads.html a free standalone mod/game using the freespace 2 engine, they are really close to the series (the sp mission available in this release is taken from one of the episodes). there's multiplayer too, knowing that's mod work, the result pretty impressive, I place it just under x3 in…
Hello everyone, So im now working on my final portfolio. This is the low-res model for the folio. Ive got more coming :/ Sp here it is: And the wire: The count is 1100 Tris (if i remember correctly). I´d like to get some feedback on this character I made for my portfolio. It´s made in Zbrush and SP, rendered in Keyshot. I Is there anything very wrong with it that I don´t see? I have 1 year left of my 3D art school and aiming to get into the gaming industry. Is this near gameready? If not, why ? :) I´m also gonna post…
Hey guys, I'm considering a new laptop. The one I'm looking at right now is the gigabyte aero 15 (max-Q) with a 1060m GPU. I've no doubt it will run 3dsmax/modo with ease however, im worried the 1060m wont preform well in substance painter. Does anyone here own a laptop with a 1060 that can reassure me that it works fine…
https://youtu.be/Sz3XgsFjmi4 There's a whole lot of other ways to change the colour of the stitches in SP, including using an HSL filter or a gradient filter. You say you need a mask though, so here is one method to extract one. I should point out that anchors default to referencing the base colour channel. You can change…
Hi Obscura long time ago :-) texture size is 4096 I'm using SP for detailing small rivits on metal panels. These metal panels need the small details. If I normalize my UVs for same texel density some UV shells are basicly to small were I need more texture detail. So scalling them up seems the right thing to do right now!!…
@zachagreg I have no idea why the difference in colour is so harsh. I tried to mimic the actual grass that I took as reference, which tends to change from a full green to a yellow-ish one. And it looks fine, in SP. Anyway, first I'd like to furtherly tweak the density, then I'll work the colour. @Obscura I'm already…
