Importing an .obj into Maya screws up the normals?
Anyone ever encounter this issue; when I export an .obj from, say XSI, then import into Maya (7.0 in this case, but I've noticed this on other versions) the normals are screwed up and can't be fixed? I get screwed up shading in strange places even when normals are facing the right way... -
Convert .mb to .ma or .obj

Zbrush importing .obj coordinates (placement) wrong.
hey guys, It seems that when I want to import/append a subtool in Zbrush the geometry's placement will be off. Some of the imported .obj's will import fine but others will be slightly off. -
xnormal does not load low poly obj
Im trying to bake my normal map for a my low poly .obj but xnormal will not load it. It has UVs set up, it has a highpoly, its made of all quads but when i hit bake it gets to the low and just sits there, and the same happens when i try to make a cage with 3d viewer -
OBJ into ZBrush, the model in Zbrush has no UVs
I already Unwrapped this model When I export it as an OBJ from 3ds max into ZBrush, the model in Zbrush has no UVs. Attachment not found. When I check if the model has UVs in Zbrush, I have found out that if the "Delete UV" is greyed out, meaning there are No UVs. Attachment not found.… -

Zbrush OBJ export
Okey so Im a little stuck. I want to export my Zbrush mesh as an OBJ and of course I dont want it to say "ZbrushPolyMesh3D" in the end because of a later bake (please exclude that I dont want it for FBX right now). XSI mod tool .obj import
OK XSI users I'm trying to import an obj file. This one to be specific file (Right click and save target as. Otherwise it opens in Notepad.) However when I import it nothing shows up. Does anyone out there have some advice for me? Hopefully I haven't missed something obvious. -
