Hey guys, Wanted to share a WIP of a current
environment I am working on. The overall layout is based on this
concept: chris-dien-temple-of-tyr-interior.jpg I want to give this environment a more
roman look and story so I'm thinking of having the center statue be of some
roman god or goddess. The statue that I have is only…
The LOD exporting for UE4 seems strange to me. I cannot export multiple LODS as one mesh asset and the mesh that gets created always imports materials as new. I would expect that i can export multiple LODS and that the mesh would contain those LODS within its settings.
Got the skin textures in place. I used this as the base skin material. I also put the hair on and set up the materials for UE4. Still needs some tweaking and I'm currently looking into UE4 materials as that is a bit of a gap in my knowledge right now.
Hi all, Here's my my final UE4 environment I did for a class this past semester. I had a lot of fun creating this landscape and creature as well! This will be tied into my senior thesis as well so I'll be tweaking these as I go on. I used Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine I always appreciate comments and…
Hi erverybody ! I actually rig a character into maya for animate and export him to UE4. I search how can i create some "Squash and Stretch" in my rig (fore torse, arm and leg). I found this tutorial : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ip-5PD3aNIg But I know I can't use it for video game cause the engine don't import the…
Just a quick question, here s a link of a 3D product with interactivity made for the web:http://3d.cl3ver.com/QucOR?tryitlocation=2 Do you think replicating the same thing with UE4 (with all the interactivity) is doable without having a package too heavy for the web... Maybe 50MB at the most? I think Unity is a better way…
That grass looks amazing! Probably the most realistic I've seen. I've been trying to figure out a way to make grass perform better in UE4. The big chokepoint for me is the overlapping transparency that UE4 hates. If you have a big field of grass, framerate plummets.
Hi all- I've been building my first modular building in UE4. Still a lot to finish in regards to texturing, i.e. windows, tileable mats etc,. I referenced the "Bolton Town Hall' Building in the UK for the design. I have one trim sheet created so far that has been able to cover a majority of the assets. Any feedback would…
I've decided to do classic of modular modelling and i've made Sci-Fi Corridor in Blender, Painter and UE4. More on ArtStation HighPoly, Lowpoly. Models are divided into 4x 4K sets with ~4.8 px/cm² texel density (it have 3m heigh). And one 1k map on floor. What do you guys think? What can i change/make?
I am fairly new to level design and have just recently obtained UE4. I decided to try and make a modular interior level, and this is what I cam up with using square modular pieces for the plain walls, a wall with a door in it, and the floor. Below is also a texture sheet for the enviro, only a few of the materials on there…
