First model post on here. Just need some feedback on this model I made a week ago. Only Low Poly model with normal map. Next phase is to texture it, looking forward to that. Also ill add some renders of the High Poly for those who want to see.
Hi guys, After viewing a few models on the pimping forum, just wanted to query everyones technique in modelling eyelashes. I'm currently using hair and fur in maya to generate the right "clumpness and shape" before turning them to a polygon mesh... but surely, theres a better, more reliable technique? Cheers!
Hi, this is my first post here :) I'm working on in-game low-poly model of snowboarder. This is my first 'extreme' low-poly model. The boarder is 584 tris and the board is round 80. Modeling is done, working on the texture now and will be doing rig after that. Any comments/crits are more than welcome! :)
Mesh: Textured: I'm just starting my low poly modeling portfolio. Any tips and critiques would be extremely helpful (both about the model and about working as a game modeler and landing jobs) Also does anyone know the current most commonly used kinds of texture maps?

Heey people, I decided to try and model a weapon. I decided it was a shotgun. Here is my first model, not yet finished still work in progress. But if you guys have any tips or something else that i need to do tell me. This is what i am making:
Starting this a bit late but I finally found some time/motivation to model something for fun. Worked on this for the last couple days I haven't modeled shit in about 4 years so this was quite a challenge, all my sub d modeling skills have completely atrophied at this point.
I've been working on this model for far too long and have finally finished it. I'm content with how it came out, but compared to most of the content on this site, it's pretty sub-par. Still, I learned a lot while making it and am interested in some critique to help me improve with future models.

So, i did an animation, trying to render it out in mental ray, but one of the models isnt showing up. It will render with maya software, but not mental ray. the model beside it shows up, and casts shadows. but not the other one. anyone have any clue why?
