Alright, so I've been lurking Polycount for a while now and finally decided to start posting. There have actually been a few threads that I just thought about jumping in and replying to, but posting on a forum without first introducing myself just doesn't feel right. Maybe it's just me? Anyways, I'm 22 and attending the…
Hi there! I'm Andy, a gaming student in a predominantly technical 3D program (no art fundamentals classes.) I'm trying to improve fundamentals wise to help with my 3d pieces, and also because it's fun. Hi Polycounters, and thanks for reading my help post. I'm currently a student and everything i've done so far has been more of a learning process to me; but at the moment, have started my final group project six months early to ensure my work is mindblowing and gets noticed haha. The reason for me making this thread, is…
Going from Maya 2016 to Maya 2017 I noticed that the Unfold UVs command (UV Editor window --> Polygons menu --> Unfold) no longer re-scales different shells of the same mesh to have consistent texel scale, whether I use Unfold3D or Legacy. Has anyone encountered this bug? Has anyone found a fix or workaround? I asked on…
