Hello everyone
I have been a lurking member of Polycount for around a year now and have finally gotten my act together and got active!
I may have met a few of you at the Polycount Meet after Eurogamer this year
IRL I'm Elle and I live in London currently working as an Art Intern at Soho Productions a Microsoft Studio, I will be working there until July at the least so I can go to any meets in London up until then.
I will updating this Sketchbook as regularly as I can but all work is personal as I cannot post any work from my actual work.
I think critique is the only way you can develop so feel free to give constructive critique wherever you can.
I am still a student so once i finish my internship i'll be going back to university for my final year, so I'm still learning
Glad to meet you all,
elle

Through my internship i've now learnt to model in maya too but I can't put any of that work up just yet
Simple Chalkboard asset pack, included the board, chalk, eraser and notes to decorate the board with. The hiragara spells out all the names of the people in my group and the message in the bottom left hand corner reads 'thank you, well done everyone'
Fountain created for a university project, sculpted detail via mudbox and although this was rendered in Marmoset the material was set up in UDK to reflect this render so the specular had the copper tint to it
The whale was a little mascot for the team, he wanted to be a narwhal so i gave him a party hat hehe~
This was my mechanial asset project for university and also I used this as my application to the blitz open day last year, I did get accepted but due to work timetables was unable to make it.
That's all for now i'll post up some more 3D and 2D in a little while
I primarily use watercolour and although the photograph/scan quality of these aren't great you can get an idea of what I do
Next time, some more 3D work
Next time! Digital Art
It's a lot more sophisticated than my other pieces of digital art as i've been able to take time over it to look into the lighting and tonal values first my plan is to then add in the colour at the end .
Here it is in it's varying states:
I have worked on my first shipped title, Kinect Sesame Street TV Season2,
I can't post up my work but check it out if you have a chance.
Besides this I've been working on various little pieces of art which will be posted up in the near future.
The big news is that a small team of us entered the TIGA GameHack 2013 last weekend and we won! We won the category for best windows 8 game and all walked away with an xbox Kinect dev kit each
The link to our game is here, I will put up a post with the individual watercolour concepts and graphics.
All work was done in three days from scratch and I did all of the traditional art seen in the application.
39 watercolour pieces done in one day, was so much fun!
