I can't seem to find a way to do this. I want to bring in quad mesh in, do some minor sculpting on it, and export as the same topology with the same UV's. I can import a mesh with quads and UV's as a paint object, but to get a paint object to sculpt room or too retopo room and then to sculpt room it always seems to get…
Err... objects with 100% self illumination cast shadows on other objects, they just don't receive any shadows. The stick on the left is 100% self illuminated. You might of turned off shadow casting for that object in the objects properties. Or turned off receive shadows for the ground plane? (Select object, right click,…

Hello! I am trying to import a plane in to Mudbox 2012 that is a very large scale (250 square meters). It seems to import fine, but then Mudbox has a problem displaying the object. It's like its not even there. The object shows up in the Object list, but in the viewport I just get an empty background. Any ideas? I'm trying…
Is there an option in max (2017) to specify a location before creating the object (line) ? eg I would like to create a line with a z-offset of 10. so i can see my line above other objects in the top view. Usually a transparent plane in combination with autogrid works but that is cumbersome, hiding and unhiding to select…
