Hey Polycounters, I wanted to gauge interest on the prospect of a new project in the design-style and art-style of one of everyone's favorite games, Metal Slug! (Who hasn't spend countless quarters at their local arcade playing Metal Slug?) The idea would be to create a game that plays and feels exactly like Metal Slug,…
I'm still relatively new to character modeling so I'm aware I messed up. I made the bust above in Zbrush, but when trying to polypaint the eyes it ends up looking cross-eyed on the model. I want to keep the same face structure so is it possible to rotate the eyes around its center? every time I try with local symmetry it…

My goal is to be an environment artist for games so I'm thinking texturing and modelling will be my focus. I will be posting up the actual Maya…
seems this happened today or yesterday. the info is from an ex-coworker's friend who worked there ( blog site). this must have been the largest dev studio in the german speaking countries so it's pretty sad for the biz around here. apparently they had like 100 employees. i'd say it's by far the biggest sinking local ship…
Hello everyone, My name is Don, or Donnie, Im pretty new to game art forums and game art in general. I just wanted to know if starting a career in game art at age 29 is too late or something, I see a lot of people on these forums are so young! I am enrolled in a game design program at my local college but I don't graduate…

Maybe adding more detail to the door or opening it to bring in a light source. Right now, my eyes are being drawn mostly to the torches, but having a clear focal point will help…
