I assume that 3D element is for a 2D paintover? offhand regardless of this thread's title, looks 'Starwarsy' enough to be similarly compared too a "Clone Wars" aesthetic as in art direction. Anyway imo you'll probably get no takers with pro experience, willing to work for free.
http://www.neilgaiman.com/p/Cool_Stuff/Video_Clips/Coraline_Sneak_Preview I'm liking the skewed look of things, but the animation isn't quite there yet. I'm also hoping to see some 2d elements to it, as I just can't imagine this without Dave Mckean's drawings and collages
Hi Polycount! I started making a revolver in Maya, I thought I might get some feedback before I do the low poly and go in texturing. It is somewhat based on the Taurus 44 but I have changed quite a bit and incorporated elements from other revolvers as well.
Hello! I'm working on a high poly model of a drinking fountain in 3ds Max. Here's my main reference image (although I've incorporated some elements from other images too): And here's what I've got so far: Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
New challenge, hurray! Some nice concepts! Following the link of the stylized prop, I liked the combination with the other props and gave it a try. Kept it quite fast and simple. Used mainly hard edges to control the shading, hand-painted textures in Blender and PS, stacked UVs and mirrored elements to save space and time.…
If u have something like this: Is there a script or uv software, that can let u split the faces or separate into elements/ or seperate meshes based on the uv 0-1 spaces they cover like this; Hopefully a script in 3dsmax or Blender? If these are not possible, I wonder if this has ever be implemented at all.
Hi, i've started working on a next-gen character to start creating a decent portfolio, i'm pretty much done with the high-res model, but i can always use some C&C if you wanna give it to make it better. the idea is a present day "wizard" with mental powers instead of elemental powers.
I've worked on this for about a week. I made most of the assets using blender and then created materials in Substance Painter. The artwork on the walls is stuff I've created, once I get it finished I'm going to find a way to post the whole project as an html5 build with a couple interactive elements.
I'm creating a sort of neo-western character. She would be living in a rough environment, but able to hold her own. Obviously, some parts of the sculpt are more worked up than others, and I still have to model a few elements, but I am curious to hear people's thoughts so far.
Basically I need to do this - But even though I've set my doc to 2048*2048 I still see elements outside of my plane and the same goes into Photoshop through zapplink. Can't understand what I'm doing wrong.
