Is there a way to select parts of the geometry in Maya without selecting the components on the backside, besides single click-selecting each part? Once in a while when modeling, Ill select some part on the backside without knowing it and later find parts moved and messed up.:poly127:
Hello Does anyone had trouble with rendering xGen hjair and fur with Vray? I used Maya Monday tutorial on xGen, but any xgen stuff I make does not render by vray - it's simply missing from the scene. Is there a fix for that or is it just my bad luck?

Hi, Since GTX 260 is not professional graphics card, which is recomended settings to use it with Maya? By settings i mean in Rivatuner, nvidia control panel or some other software. thanks
Depends. Do you want it as a light source in Maya, or in a game engine? If in Maya, what renderer? Generally, I would bake it out to a flipbook with alpha, then use that as an emissive light source.

Hey all I am trying to bake a projection texture in Maya to the multiple UDIMS for a large roadway I am doing. I have tried "Convert to file texture in Hypershade but it only does the 0-1 space. My ultimate goal is to get this into substance painter.
Hey, Currently plowing through a tutorial and for some reason edges stay selected even when I've got nothing selected in the scene. The edges seems to stay a light brown colour. Is this just weird display issue in Maya or does it mean something more? Cheers, Scott
