Hello everyone, I'm trying to bake a lightmap with padding in 3dsmax 2012. Everything seems to work but the final texture file is completely white (with padding) while the preview window shows the correct bake (without padding). Here is the final result. Extract textures from selected objects in 3dsmax?
I have been wondering if there is a way to extract textures from an object or its materials in 3dsmax for further painting in Photoshop. Say for example u assign a diffuse texture to an object and adjust the texture tiling to fit the object, is there a way to extract the diffuse texture again and save it out like a uvmap… -

It's probably because of bitmap resizing with standard materials then. Try setting the bitmap sizes to 1024 in the driver settings, as well as ticking "match bitmap size as close as possible".
