Viewport Canvas error; 3dsmax 2014.

I have been using viewport canvas with 3dsmax 2014 for a long time now. I noticed a couple of days ago that it gives this error everytime I try to open it:

--unable to convert: undefined to type: Filename.

I have googled around for the solution and found this thread:

I tried looking for the viewport canvas directory in plugcfg but it is missing. Any solution to this?

Solution:
I repaired or reinstalled 3dsmax from the control panel. The viewport canvas folder showed up where it should, don't know why it was missing to begin with. I then copied it to the directory specified in the link so it works now.
