You might want to try something like this... start with a larger shape, that already has some falloff like a PRABOLOID. Use a TRANSFORM node to OFFSET it slightly in X, then use either another TRANSFORM or a SYMMETRY node (in my case I have my own symmetry node) to mirror the offset shape across the Y axis. It will…
I don't think I've ever had that error, but I've seen many new users come up with a variety of bizarre problems and it is almost always a result of user error. If you don't know what's going on then it's easy to do things that Maya doesn't like and that crap builds up over time and can screw up your scene. Keep your…
Comes out tomorrow for those interested. Picking up my physical copy tomorrow, but have had a chance to listen to the whole thing a few times and it's an amazing rock album from start to finish.

That's what creates those nice rays and shadows across the mid and foreground. In your image, the sun is coming from the right and more shining on the foliage than…
Hi there, I had issues with my multiplayer game when creating a dynamic material instance on BeginPlay. I figured out, that putting all initializing code from "Event BeginPlay" node from the "Event Graph" tab into the "Construction Script" helped me to solve the problem to have correct access to the material in runtime.…
You are indeed biased, and its easy to understand why. I can understand the desire to confirm a bias that results in positive emotional response, in this case an individuals desire to keep something good coming their way while assuming or not wanting to believe its not having any negative impact. We see this in all facets…
Hi guys, I've been using 3ds Max for a while and just got Substance Designer, I've never used ZBrush and would like to avoid it if I can. I see great tutorials on making stone/brick walls with SD but still don't know how to put it all together. It seems the usual way was/is to build a blocky model in Max/Maya, import it to…
