for the tiling textures you likely want to combine it with using a splat map: Splat - polycount basically it is a master texture that controls where tiling textures go. If you overlay some textures on top of all of that it can look pretty convincing without a lot of work.
Hello, Polycount! I am a 3d generalist with a huge love to machines and anime. I also draw sometimes. I would like to improve things that I make and hopefully contribute to growth of community as well by sharing obscure knowledge.
The first thing I did was to plan my environment and create the blockout. As I am using nanites I am not so much worrying about polycount. Of course, there are no crazy amounts of tris, but for some parts like the Jesus statue I just decimated it from and created auto UVs and then created textures.
Vlad made "Polycount Guild" and I made "Polycount Workshop" and PolycountWorkshop" to reserve the names. Just good old "Polycount" was unavailable unfortunately. Valve mentioned that they were protecting some names, hopefully "Polycount" falls under that.
