Hey everyone, someone from the community requested I make them a tutorial, so here it is. It's my first time making one, so any C&C on it would be great. This is a simple walk through on how I make tape and fabric wraps in zBrush, hopefully this can help someone :) http://jordankocon.carbonmade.com/projects/4113716 <full…
Look at "SCULPTING BOOT STRAPS AND FABRIC WRAPS" on this page Gnomon Free tutorials Or if you wanted to poly model it, you could use a NURBS/NURMS curve that wraps around the way you want, and then extrude along it. Maybe breaking it up into smaller sections would be easier as well.
Sorry no, I assumed that there was another object that this tape is wrapped around and that you have a lowpoly model for that. So instead of having a dedicated lowpoly model for the tape, bake it directly onto the part the tape is wrapped around.
Has anybody had success shrink wrapping something like a base head mesh to their high poly sculpt? I imagine a lot of tweaking points would be involved, but maybe that would still save a lot of time?
I searched the forums, and I didnt find anything on this subject: I have two character meshes - one is a slim character, and the other is a bulky character. I noticed that after I put my message in the Draw Text node in Kismet, the text appears, but goes off screen. Is there a way to force word wrap to make my message (which is incomplete for the…
the simplest way - create a bone chain. Make each bone the size of a link. Weight each link 100% to the corresponding bone. Wrap the bones around the model. You could PROBABLY go as far as linking the bones to a cloth helper, using it to get the nice wrap.
