Modular Corner Conundrum - Wrapping a Seamless texture

I am curious about how other folks handle modular corners on buildings/structures.

I want to wrap a seamless texture around 2 pieces that make up a corner.

Just make a separate corner piece.

If both sides of the corner belong to the same mesh and the texture is seamless, you could connect the UV islands together like one long strip.

I got the corner right but now the other sides will not line up.

There must be something simple I'm missing!


All three of those wall pieces are the same model.

Oh wow. Nevermind all I had to do was rotate the meshes after I connected the UV islands in one long strip.

You can also place your pivot point in the corner, apply the symmetry modifier and rotate the symmetry gizmo so you get something like this:

But what if you wanted to extend the wall by another piece?

I'm trying to make one modular piece that I can use to make square structures of different sizes. Rather than make a few different sized whole structures.

Maybe I am off the right track?

I think making a separate corner piece is the only way it will "work"

Note: These square buildings will need to work inside as well as exteriors.
