Hey, in 3dsmax there the amazing "Peel Mode" where I can pin verts and pull and push the UV's to get straight results really quickly. Wondering if theres a Maya equivalent? :)
Is there a way in 3DSMax to display all the axis in the scene, or on selected bones? I think I've seen this feature before (Maya/Blender?) which was good for being able to at a glance determine if all your axis were oriented correctly.
I'm looking for a .lwo importer/exporter for 3dsmax 9? Anybody help me out here, I know you problably have one some place I'm working on high poly local maps atm for our game and its proving to be a right bugger, but it would help if i could export the right format for our game to even see the model heh Thanks in advance.
If I've setup a scene in 3dsmax using a bunch of instanced objects is it possible to bake a lightmap for this scene in max to use in Unity? I'm thinking you cannot because the instanced geometry needs to be given unique uv space on the atlas, and that's not something you can do in max and translate to Unity? Has to be done…
How can I see my polygons 2sided in 3dsmax? I'm using version 6. In the material editor, I've checked "2-sided", but nothing happens. Only can I see both sides when I render (force 2 sided) but never in the viewports. I've tried searching the forums and it doesn't work for some reason.

As a matter of fact when I launch Max2008 on a Vista 64 machine, I get a little popup message telling me that the OS switches to the classic 'XP' look because the latest Max is not compatible with Aero. Weird! Glad you worked out your problem anyways. Also I think I'll never understand why you call 3DSMax 'dsmax' hehe :P
hi my friends. i want model this shape in 3dsmax. i try to make it with some modyfires like bend/ taper and twist. i also use some cylinders and from the segment make spline shape but all my tries become useless. i realy confused. can somebody help me / thank you
Is it possible to display normals in the viewport in 3dsmax, when using multi-tile? I'm only able to make the first texture showing, so I'm probably doing it wrong. Any ideas? Thanks!
