Framer - New 3dsMax modifier!

Hello, I would like to share my new Framer modifier for 3dsmax! It is Greeble-like modifier perfect for structures,grids,patterns,facades,furniture and quick details adding. Hope you like it!

Out of curiosity how long has this modifier been in the works? Seems like huge project.

Excellent work. Interesting timing, also, with procedural modeling modifier creation in development with Bifrost at the moment.

So i released Weaver modifier (https://polycount.com/discussion/212881/weaver-modifier-topology-based-weaving-surfaces-in-3dsmax ) about month ago and then i started this one, so roughly month of work. But i developed my own compounds library from scratch so it is hard to say how long it would take with out them.

In fact i am a bit surprised why people ignores MCG, it has a huge potential and could offer fully procedural pipeline already. Also can say that Autodesk made unexpectedly good tool development system! It is convenient and easy to use. The huge disadvantage is that it still doesn't not support modifiers for splines and that you need to create basic functions like polygon inset from scratch but these things are because of lack of users.Imho.
I hope that Bifrost wont kill MCG.

Most users complained that MCG was too low level and obscure for the average artist to use. Bifrost is still low level, but wrapped in a more high level artist-friendly workflow.

This is from the Max Bifrost devs:

Why are you focusing on Bifrost and not other tools like MCG?
Simply put, there is a larger investment from both the 3ds Max and Maya teams. There is more than one team working on Bifrost tools in both products. Think of it like Arnold and its DCC plugins. There's the core and there's the DCC specific interactions. That being said, we won't have plans to depreciate MCG.

Omg, I'd better hurry up with releasing all my mcg tools before bi frost releases.This answer sounds like nothing good for the MCG )
Anyway Bifrost is very interesting to me.
Whatever happens, happens for the best.

Bifrost probably won't release until Max 2021. You should join the beta and start testing it now. Your input would be invaluable. I even started a thread on the beta forums about your Framer tool.
