Is there a way in 3DSMax to display all the axis in the scene, or on selected bones? I think I've seen this feature before (Maya/Blender?) which was good for being able to at a glance determine if all your axis were oriented correctly.
you could just grab everything, hit move tool... or just move, hit local, and the hit effect pivot only. Now you can see all your pivots and where they are pointing.
