Hey all, Im looking for a vertex normal script for maya which allows me to be able to project all vertex normals outwards from a center origin. I want to use it for adjusting vert normals on low poly trees, I know about the edit vert normals tool for maya but its pretty crap. Thanks in advance :)

Hi ! So I have a goblin that I wish to bake, and I tried to skip the retopo part by using zremesher in zbrush and importing it to Maya. But when I tried to use "soft edge" the whole figure looked all wrong. Is it something wrong with the normals, can I fix this in Maya or do I have to use retopo after all ?
It's very strange normal mapping in viewport Maya 2017. See picture below. I mean black lines on the mesh. Tangent space normal is on in bump settings. In maya 2014/15 it is ok. Who can explain how to fix this problem?
I'm currently making some tools to cleanup empty shape nodes in maya. I know that the shape nodes are essentially containers for vertexes and so on but does anyone have any insight on why maya would create an empty shape node? Hi, Never got an answer in the Maya forums to this. But has anyone seen this problem? Basically my triangle lines showing up in the material ID map as a very subtle change of color and I can not use the maps. I have to repaint in PS. hello, i´ve maya 8.0 license and a gforce 6800go graphics card, i´ve seen that there is a button in the maya viewport (lighting -> shadows) and i think is for activating shadows in real time, i´ve activated it but nothing happens is my card not supported? or do i´ve to do something especial to my scene? thanks
