I'm afraid that's default lighting with the default standard material applied. No lights at all. I tried using the 3Point Shader but that looks even worse since the dark side is even darker. I'm no lighting expert in 3DMax, what should I do so the viewport screengrabs don't look like crap?
I just recently completed a scene i've been working on for a while now and was wanting some outside c/c. All modeling/mapping was done in 3dMax, texturing in photoshop and brought into the unreal 3 editor. The scene was taken from a snapshot my gf took on our vacation in Cape Hatteras NC. Thanks, and i look forward to…
Is there an option in max (2017) to specify a location before creating the object (line) ? eg I would like to create a line with a z-offset of 10. so i can see my line above other objects in the top view. When I just put 1 color on the mesh as texture, it is perfectly fine. Wonder if anyone seen this before?…
Hi everyone, My lighting setup seems to prevent my normal maps from having any effect on my low poly models. Here is a screenshot of the shaded viewport mode, where the normals are fine, and realistic, where I can't see them. Can anyone tell me how I could change my lighting to fix this?
Hello everyone, This is the first time ever I present a personal work on polycount.com, even if a swing by on a regular basis :p So, this a diorama where a steambot is fishing. Hello. My idea for the throne is inspired by taxonomic kingdoms. So we have the thorne room of the plant kingdom, that has signs of influence of animal kingdom that has taken over the throne. It will be an round room with floral design, with some fur pelts and feathers messily thrown around. Software: 3DMax ZBrush…
That helps us how? I mean yes if you need to pre-render FX effects, but realtime we work with what a consumer has. (Which really pisses me off since the have taken the 3dMax optimization out of the consumer cards (at least the mobile ones) in order for you to buy a Quadro.. for what?
