Because i dont have any clue on how to paint like HAND PAINT STYLE (WOW style) , any criticism or tip from the experts are very welcome I hope there is some kind of TIPs for the style but i don't know any I know by observation, some thing like, always are scratches or cracks with a thin white line denote de crispy edge…
That's pretty cool. Some nice caricatures, although the quality doesn't seem that consistent between different pieces. Sebastian Kruger ( http://www.krugerstars.com/ ) is my favourite, he just has ridiculous amounts of style and skill with paint. I've got his "Krugerstars" book, really amazing to see them all printed at…
Hi Guys, I have to create an animation of a spatula applying a material to a wall of a house. How can I do this in 3ds max? Is it possible to animate the vertex painter mimicking the spatula movement then add a spatula model on top off the painting line and animate its movement? I don't care if there are no particles to…
This is my first thread here and i would like to use it for posting my progress in improving my hand painted textures. My plan is to make a bunch of smaller probs and hopefully see the quality improve over time. I am in the process of making a dagger with a hand painted texture in a WoW like style. I am a little stuck…

Would like some feedback on my latest piece of work. I've used this workflow a few times, creating a high poly and baking out a normal and ambient occlusion and using the ambient occlusion as a guide to hand paint. I do use a specular map as well which I haven't done it yet for this. I know its probably not considered as a…
So I have been wondering how do you patterns on stencils line up well while painting it around a whole object? You move the stencil or the model and then it can be very hard to line it up again well but if you don't spin the model you can't paint the other side. I use mudbox and i'm kinda new to it.
