Hey! I've gone far too long without joining this community, so I wanted to post something for some crit and feedback! This is my first UE4 scene. Whole thing took 10 weeks (from the time I opened UE4 for the first time to final renders), though most of it was done during two crunch weeks. Everything was made by me using…
I have looked through this entire Tech Talk and have not seen anything about the issue I am having. Sorry if this is a repeat, but I am having some issues with materials inside of UE4 from export in Quixel Suite. I have been plugging in the textures produced directly to their links inside of UE4. Albeido, Roughness(I…
I am noticing that textured appear way less rough in UE4 than in Marmoset Toolbag 2. I spent a lot of time adjusting my textures using Marmoset Toolbag to have right amount of roughness. But then they appear way more glossy and less rough in UE4. Strangely though, 3D Coat appears to show approximately same level of…
A level in ue4 i'm working on . it all started with making a few palm trees and then it went from there. The ocean water is a community project water from ue4 forums. Link : https://github.com/UE4-OceanProject/OceanProject/tree/4.18
https://www.artstation.com/artwork/PkXP4 This is a relatively quickly made small scene (didn't spend much time on props at all) that I ended up really enjoying, I was looking at a lot of reference of…
Hello! I'm looking for Environment Artist (Unreal Engine 5.5) as a project partner. Our talent: We’re a small two-person indie team. My main profile is audio—sound design, music, dialogue—while I also manage coding, narrative and production (search wetdreamsexciter). My teammate is blocking out the world. We now need a…
I need help with debugging UE 4 shader. I want to have tessellated and displaced terrain in UE 4 with layers blends driven by a height map. Last time I used this simple shader it worked. But no matter what I do it doesn't work with UE 4.19. The landscape tessellates but it doesn't get displaced when I have two height map…
Hey everyone. First time posting here. I am gonna be working on this small environment-diorama based on the concept art by Zimmy called "Clock Car" (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/481ERn) This will be my first time doing a proper environemnt scene for UE4 (maybe for both UE4 and Marmoset Toolbag). I want to do a full…
I'm creating some models in 3DSMAX vray that I want to be able to transfer to UE4 at a later time. However I understand the requirement for vray and UE4 are different. UE4 needs a lightmap UV, which I assume means I need to be correctly assigning UV's as I'm modelling? I also assume I will need a high poly / low poly…
Is this possible from ue4? edit: From the research I have done, there is a gitf built in plugin for ue4. Also found this: https://github.com/code4game/glTFForUE4 But these plugins only handle import. I don't think there is any exporter from ue4 in this file format. Hope that changes in the future.
