Hey everyone, I've been trying to install maya and 3Dmax through their site but, every time I try to open it, it gives me a "License was not obtained" error. Error #2 to be exact. I've searched the depths of the Internet to seek help, yet nobody's solutions fix this. Any ideas?
The first two times I tried to install, I got the following error message, and TexTools still displayed V3.2 as the version even after restarting Max. The third try appears to have worked fine, and doesn't yet appear to have any other issues. Just thought you'd like to see the error: -- Error occurred in…
Hi, I have never used Substance Designer, but I see lots and lots of things in internet about it. I love the 3DMax material editor. Are there big advantages with substance to make materials? Ty!
I need some help understanding tangent space, tangent basis and getting a good normal map baking workflow. Please correct me if you notice something wrong! :) Let's say there's the following scenario: I work in Maya and have to create an asset, the client specifies their engine tangent space is synced to xNormal (Mikk),…

How you interact with all that seems different enough to cause some pretty big growing pains when switching. They're still separate products with…
check this installation instruction: http://renderhjs.net/textools/img/texTools_2.23_installation.gif after you drag it into your view port you have to add a macroscript (the kind of script you can add to your interface) to your toolbar. You launch TexTools via that shortcut then each time you need it. The reason for the…
