Hi,
I have never used Substance Designer, but I see lots and lots of things in internet about it.
I love the 3DMax material editor.
Are there big advantages with substance to make materials?

Ty!

    They're not the same thing

Max's material editor sets up shaders for rendering
Designer is a very powerful image compositor and procedural image generator

Max's material editor can do some of the things designer can do but it's like comparing a calculator to a supercomputer as far as image compositing goes
Designer cannot shade an object - it can only produce information for the shader
