Hey Polycount, Is it possible to transfer (or just bake) animation that is on the bones of a character onto its control rig in Maya 2012? Here's the scenario: I'm animating some game characters that have animation for walk cycles already on their bones. I got rid of the animation and rigged them. Now I'm looking for a way…
I've never really done any rigging or animating when it comes to UDK So I have no idea how to go about this, I have this UV based eye rig sitting in Blender, The bone doesn't control any geometry, just UV coordinates. I think it's possible to control UVs through the material editor (can someone confirm) but how do I go…
Hi everyone, I would like to show you my latest game rig, with Bone-based muscle simulation. All deformations are expressed with uniform scaling, rotations and translations and work automatically. The mesh itself is not very muscular, but the main goal of this rig is to keep the volumes (like in the shoulder area). [ame="…
I have made a wisp ( simple circle with a small glow effect ) but I need to figure out how one would rig that. I know how to rig a model... i am just curious how people would rig it specifically. If i had to guess, I would say I just make one Joint and setup a control set from that? Animate it from there? Any ideas and…
Hi! I'm new to Unreal and currently trying to gather all the info I can about it before start. What's the basic workflow to get a rig going in Unreal? Can we import our own rigs from a DCC into Unreal? I know there are things to consider, like corrective blend shapes do not read. What extension do we use? I've heard of…
Hey I'm working on my rigging showreel but I don't have any models to rig. I don't want plain human type characters, I need more unique models (e.g. quadrupeds). send me an email at kieran.n.william@gmail.com or just send a PM. Thanks
Say I wanted to rig a ball for animation. The ball mesh would be that of a fairy/fey type of being. What would be the best possible method for rigging such a creature and creating a control set to manage it? ( not that one would really be needed I guess ) Do i make a single bone?
Yo, the base rig is by a guy called Brad Noble, I bought the scripts that you can use to resize the rig with, so all the humanoid characters are rigged on that set up with me resizing it and skinning the particular character.
