Here is My Mesh Before The Spin Operation (The first hole was created with "Boxcutter" Add-on) After Applying "Spin" Operation, the newly created cylinders leaves open-holes on my mesh. (To me, it looks like the faces/normal of these holes are inverted) Below GIF image is what I want to achieve.
After I open Maya, and go to File > Open/Save/import/Project/etc., Maya brings up said window but the box is filled with white and Maya freezes up. I've tried deleting the prefs folder and running a repair install but neither had any effect. Do I need to completely uninstall Maya?

When opening someone else's .max file, it uses their settings (ie 2 default lights instead of my 1). Then when I start a new project it will also keep those settings. How do I open these files whilst keeping all of my preferences?
