Hey guys! want to share with you my new model. It turned out to be a little cartoonish, not exactly what i wanted, but overall i satisfied. "Hand painted" is in parenthesis because all the high-poly meshes of every piece were sculpted in Zbrush and after textured in SP2. Please tell me what you think. model
I've been doing a lot of PBR stuff and Sub-D so I wanted to mix it up and do hand painted. I decided to do a low poly version of the speeder from the Episode 7 teaser trailer. Not a ton of reference (that I could find) minus a replica at a convention and some screens. Anyway, was a fun weekend. Just screen grabs with a…
The settings I generally used it for (eg, selecting the gpu to use etc.) are handled properly by windows now but the control panel does appear to still be present on win11 - perhaps they got pushback and left it there or perhaps i misread something. I'm probably not on latest but im likely on the one before that
Hmm, recently I have noticed that "hand painted" = WOW/Torchlight art style. Why is that? Most textures are hand painted in a way or another aren't they? Feels like I've missed something... DemonPrincess model and texture looks fantastic! +Kenneth is god lol!
Hey @slosh So by handpainted I meant hand painted pbr workflow with normal+spec and Hand-painted Diffuse(I'm not sure if it's called handpainted pbr) Hence all the sculpted details.
Hello everyone! It's been quite a while since my last post (a few years...) Anyway, I started working on a personal project a few days ago to brush up some skills and explore new techniques. This tileable brick texture will be part of a set of dungeon textures. I've been playing some Dishonored lately so was inspired to…
Hi everyone, not sure if this is the correct part to place this. I'm very interested about learning how to make hand painted textures...the problem is I'm very much lost and I don't know where or how to start. So...can you share with me some good resources to start with this? Any kind of resources is fine, paid or free!
Working on my first creature/character for my portfolio. The goal is to create a hand painted low-poly model from the zbrush sculpts. Based on my rough concept below. The little guy is meant to sit on a black platform on the big guy's back. Haven't started working on any armor or clothes yet, but made some placeholder…
I've only used 3D coat for retopology purposes and I was wondering if the experienced folk around here could share what makes 3D Coat such a powerful tool for hand-painted texturing. Doesn't Substance Painter offer as much options for this type of texture work?
We started looking into Unity at work (mobile games developer, VisualDreams) and I thought that I would try to get up to speed with it by doing a simple hand painted dungeon. Diffuse and lightmaps only. I just started creating some simple tiles and textures. There are some lightmap seams and since I haven't made something…
