Hi everyone, not sure if this is the correct part to place this.
I'm very interested about learning how to make hand painted textures...the problem is I'm very much lost and I don't know where or how to start.
So...can you share with me some good resources to start with this? Any kind of resources is fine, paid or free!

I'd also suggest just doing a bunch of material studies.
You'll have to make a bunch "shit' before you obtain the skills needed to tackle something more demanding. Start with grass, stone wall, and wood log...nail those down and get a process/technique you can easily duplicate. Meaning you have an understanding of what's needed for it's construction. Then you can apply it to textures and make stylized variations. Gotta crawl before ya can walk....etc.
There is also a nice tutorial from Tyson on 3Dmotive about texturing a sword, it helped me a lot.
