Hey, I am a designer with a programming background and am looking for a passionate level designer (mainly) who can also be an environment artist to collaborate on an indie-sized commercial sequel to Refunktion. The target platform is PC (Steam - already greenlit) and the vision of the game could more or less be described…
Hello there! I have been working on a pretty interesting project- a WoW Level design. I am fascinated with the way the World of Warcraft level designers sculpt the world through terrain detail primarily, and have always wanted to be a designer at blizzard, or at least to mod my own wow levels. Unfortunately, WoWedit is not…
[ QUOTE ] Zipper Interactive has been making hit games for year and we are now adding to our staff. We are currently recruiting for art modelers. Responsibilities will include taking over level geometry created by a level designer, and finalizing the look for the level, providing additional geometry, textureing and…
I am trying to texture a mesh in Designer with UV seams. The easiest method I found to fix those seams is to make a noise/filter in Painter then Clone Stamp them, then export the layer in Designer as a bitmap. Is there any way to achive this with only Designer? I'd like to keep the random seed / parameters feature.
@SSquir33 My first two points might seem a bit brutal but these come from a purely statistical and analytical perspective. There's plenty of GDC talks on what games become successful ln steam as well. A majority of game design students I've seen around the globe, or even locally at universities here never get any success.…

Starting today and on through the week, I'll be updating my portfolio with levels and effects. Shipped Titles: Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway (credited as Level Designer) Hour of Victory (credited as Level…
"Ripping off" existing concepts to start with is not such a bad idea. I learned a lot by copying art I admired. You can more clearly understand why it is things may have been designed the way they were, and what works where and what doesn't. Of course this is just for self study, and you should never pass that stuff off as…
Looking for a game designer who has played or had previous experience making hide and seek casual games. I feel I have a great idea to put a spin on this genre. I don't have much money so I am looking for someone who truly loves doing this stuff and willing to accept a little money when I have it. I really need a game…
