Anyone have a clever (automated) way of adding padding to a selection? Say extending the border; 4 pixels with the outermost pixel, and scaling background is not an option because of multiple islands on layer.
I've followed a tutorial but am not getting the desired results. I want the black vertex spots that I've painted to be filled with material 2. Instead it only fills the outline? I've tried inverting and playing around with the gradient but no luck. Any ideas?
Latest update - Fixed a few items, glow maps fixed Hey guys. I started this character yesterday at 5am and worked for the whole rest of the day on it. I need a few new sets of eyes for crits if possible. Its based on the new Iron Man armor by Ryan Meinerding. Thanks!

hey, is there a way in 3ds max 2009 to multiply textures like in photoshop? for example, i have a tiling texture that i apply to an object, and i also have a seperate ambient occlusion texture for that object thats using unique UVs. is there any material that will let me multiply the AO over the tiling diffuse texture?
Blender 2.54 or maybe 2.55 has been released to the public for their general use and fondling. There has been a ton of new features as always, but your own use and mileage is going to vary.
