I am generating normal maps using an exploded high and low poly meshes. xNormal normal map problem
Hi Im trying to extract a normal map from a highpoly mesh i have made of a rock. I decreased polycount in meshlab to about 1000, then i unwrapped it in Roadkill. The normal map i get from xNormal is somewhat distorted, looks like a warp hole ^^... Anyways, here are some pictures. -

Normal map seam with xnormal
hey guys i need some help with normal map seams in UDK. I used xnormal to bake the maps which usually gets rid of seams, I also changed the textures settings to the correct ones inside of UDK but I am still getting seams, Any ideas? besides painting by hand? I have not made a light map for the object yet or fixed the seams… -
Troubles in Normal map from XNormal
Hi all! I baked normal map in xNormal and I've got this strange bug on it. Strange steps. It looks like in was converted many times - decreased and then increased its size... But it just came from xNormal. Models are ok, no bugs, good topology. Who knows - what is this and how to correct this bug. -
Why does Maya bake better normal maps than xnormal for me?
I don't know why, but for some things my maya bake turns out better than the xnormal one. Specifically for the parts where there are hardened edges with the UV seams. Hi, I keep getting this problem in Xnormals... So far I have only managed to get one normal bake and it worked great, however I dont know what I did to get the results.
