Hey! I've been posting some free content at times here, and here is another one. You can get 15 themes that we have made for Unreal Engine for completely free: https://eliaswick.com/products/editor-themes. The current Unreal Engine theme is honestly pretty great as it is, but if you have a favourite color and prefer the…
Check how it looks when materials are applied, and it’s put in a scene with lighting and camera angle. Many of these tiny issues become essentially invisible, in situ. But yes, triangles and ngons are ok, as long as they don’t adversely affect the shading. Usually fine on flatter areas.
Hello everyone! Working on another big project. You can check out more on it on its own post, but I hope you enjoy this preview: https://polycount.com/discussion/238512/varian-wrynn-terran-marine-fan-art/p1?new=1
This is a Warhammer 40k inspired Space Marine, taking influence from the Space Marine (2011) game. This is the high-poly with some base colours polypainted in. You're not alone there... been there myself many times. We are all in this life together, and none of us got where we are without help from someone. That is…
Before you answer... I know....'It depends'. On many things. But as I browse through materials in UDK, I notice that a lot of them have many instructions... It seems like many of them average between 50-90. I'm transitioning out of UI into VFX and am really looking for some general guidelines for building materials for VFX…
Finished up my generic space marine bust that I have shown in the "what are you working on" thread. This piece started out with an idea I had for a slightly stylised, over-exagerated head bust which I wanted to mix with some hard surface, sub-d practice. I figured that no-one can call themselves a character artist without…
This work may be slow as its being done in my own time, but basically, I'm going to create a scene including Space Marines (not too sure on the scene yet), but I've got half the marine modelled, some bits I'll have to mirror and texture as a whole instead of having it perfectly symmetrical. This is project I'm working on…
