Hi folks, Just a quick post to get my place/thread started. This is my concept so far - a hand-me-down weapon passed from generation to generation which is why it is so battered and old. I liked the idea that the blade was a point of family pride and so would be repaired on the battle field impromptu. I havent actually…
Hello, this will be the first serious set of modelling I have done in some time, I am all open to suggestions and criticism. I will base my helmet on eastern/nomadic, kind-of Turco-mongol origin items.
Really excited about this contest! :D Here's my brainstorming Pinterest board (still adding to it). http://www.pinterest.com/tobbo/polycountchivalry-mason-order-eagle-archer-set/ I'm still in the brainstorming process for design ideas and iterations. We have been busy and couldn't enter the contest sooner but now we have the time and it will have our undivided attention. As far as the style is concerned, we are going for the classic, trying to keep it as "era correct" as…

fixed a couple small shading errors, mainly the visor. For anyone using Maya, Pior informed me of an attribute in all meshes. In the attribute editor of a mesh under "Mesh controls" set the "Vertex normal method" to "Unweighted". and export as FBX with smoothing groups, tangnents and binormals ON. That gave me the best…
