I was thinking it was a bit to fantasy so I also made a blade without the spikes
what do you guys think about that and also straight cross guard or angled?

latest itteration, gotta finish up the high poly stuff so probably gonna go with this one!

Seems a fine choice to me, but I do not really like the large 3D guard (I am talking about the empty triangles who go toward and away from your view in the second shot). I would flatten those a bit. Good luck !

I really like the idea of using a claymore-esque cross guard but that might be an issue for getting that second hand up onto the upper grip. But I may be wrong.

Yes the claymore like guard is much cooler. But the name spitze klaue is a bit misleading, spitz means pointy, a pencil is spitz.
If you mean sharp claw, it would be scharfe Klaue.

@9thKnigh: thanks, should be fine cause it doesn't go further then the existing model in the game, only difference is the one in the game is slightly bend and mine is straight but its not that much of a difference

@NBLM: thanks, I get your point, though spitze can also be translated to sharp and it got pointy spike all over it so i was aiming for those to combined,
scharfe klaue doesn't sound bad either but I like spitze more

Well, I have a different opinion, if you like a claymore-like guard, that you should make a weapon model for the claymore weapon, not the zweihander, a zweihander shouldn't look like that.
