3dmax has poly counter tool in the utilities section. You usually have to click the "more" button to see access it. This gives you the option to count in polys or tris.
There are just two textures. bark and leaves. its a 3dmax viewport screenshot so its looking noisy. im at work right now but will ppost ingame shots this evening. :)
Hmm... I hope Autodesk doesn't see this. With Zbrush used almost as much as 3dmax, and Mudbox far behind. They might try to pull another Maya/XSI move...
It means to render an aspect of a models shading into a texture. It can be AO, Diffuse Colour, lighting. Its also known as 'render to texture' http://www.3dmax-tutorials.com/Rendering_to_Textures.html
